🔊Yes. It's about the classroom communication.

We all know what a classroom is. First, let us talk about the communication.

It is a process of exchange of information, that is give and take of information. The word communication is derived from "communis", a Greek word which means to make common.

 The communication media can be spoken words, signal, gesture picture, visual display, print, broadcast, film—all the signs and symbols by which humans try to convey meaning and value to one another.


COMPONENTS OF COMMUNICATION

  • Sender or source, called encoder
  • Message / information / signal
  • Medium or channel of communication
  • Receiver or decoder


CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION

  • It is very important in teaching-learning, being the chief means by which the teacher and the students work together.

These media are among the tools of the education profession, uses to mould the human minds.."

  • In fact, Good teaching is a intercommunication.
  • There must be reaction and interaction with constant feedback.
  • The communication channel in the classroom should ideally carry both messages and counter messages. 
TYPES OF CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION

👩‍🏫 VERBAL

Verbal communication is the use of words to convey a message. Some forms of verbal communication are written and oral communication. 

Examples of Written Communication: 
Letters, Texting, Emails, Books

Examples of Oral Communication:
Face-to-face conversations,SpeechHost on a Radio Interviews

👨‍🏫 NON-VERBAL

Nonverbal communication is the use of body language to convey a message. 

Examples of Body Language Communication:

Waving (An indication of "Hello" or "Goodbye" in some cultures), Head nod (An indication of agreement), Finger tapping (Impatient or tired of waiting), Arms crossed over chest (A gesture indicating defensiveness or stress), Making eye contact (An indication you're paying attention), Handshakes, Hugs, Smile, Sign languages.




EFFECTIVE CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION: 



  • Create a safe learning environment with supportive relationships.
  • More teamwork. 
  • Body language.
  • Active listening.
  • Feedback.
  • Sense of humour.
  • Technical skills.
  • Be clear.

  2. Get Students to talk more
  3. Pick Random students and post questions
  4. Lot of Activities
